A Touch of Peace

As continue into this new year, leaving the weight of the last behind, I’ve begun to find comfort in life’s quiet moments.
2024 was difficult for me, and when 2025 arrived, I made myself a promise to prioritize my well-being and cherish the small, beautiful parts of life. Whether it’s a peaceful walk or painting with friends, I’ve chosen to move through this year with intention, ease, and care.
About a month ago, I explored a new trail with a friend. We caught up on life, making sure to take a moment of silence to appreciate the beauty of the nature surrounding us.
That day inspired this poem, a reflection of where I am now, and what I’ve come to value. I hope you enjoy reading it.
A Touch of Peace
by Miranda Rodriguez
As I sit by the water,
the light glistens its reflection,
casting beams of light that hold me tight.
The breeze stirs the trees,
rustling the leaves that shimmer green,
as spring takes its quiet leave.
Birdsong drifts through the air,
each hymn singing its prayer,
it’s melody taking away despair.
I breathe it in,
this wild, gentle air,
and let the world disappear.
Grateful,
that in this stillness,
I can finally reach
the peace I’ve longed to see.

So inspiring, thank you for letting us see you!
