Prior to finding out about my allergies, I was feeling all sorts of uncomfortable feelings. It all started with my stool being different, then I started becoming bloated, and the last thing
I felt before deciding to seek medical help was intense stomach cramping. After getting testing done and confirming my allergies, I had absolutely no idea how I was supposed to change absolutely all of my eating habits.
I was confused about how I was supposed to make such a big change to ultimately help my health, but I knew that I needed to do everything I could to improve my health. Everything I knew in regard to food had to change completely. At first, I thought I could no longer eat meatballs, pizza, bread, cheese, milk, nuts, etc. After long research, and trial and error, I quickly learned that these allergies were really not all too bad, there are many ways to adjust and still make the things you love.
It has been 3 months since I completely changed my diet around (although I don’t like to call it a diet, but more so a lifestyle) and to be completely honest, I feel 100% better. I no longer feel bloated, my stool is normal, I don’t feel nauseous, I don’t have acid reflux, I feel more energetic, and most importantly I’m not uncomfortable all the time. Another great thing about making these changes is that I have lost 15lbs and counting, so I know that my health is making a great improvement.
I guess the reason I’m sharing my story with you all, is to show the importance of trusting the process when new things come your way. When I first found out about these allergies, I was devastated, which sounds dramatic, but it was something completely out of my territory. Instead of feeling devastated, I pushed through and found ways to adjust in order to live according to this new lifestyle.
Thanks for reading :)
